Anti-corrosion Petrolatum Coated Tapes can be used for a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, waterworks and marine. Our products are designed to stop and prevent corrosion on pipe, valves, fittings and flanges in the harshest environments imaginable. As leaders in corrosion prevention and sealing systems, we provide the utility a means to extend the life of their pipe assets through cathodic protection and petrolatum overwrap products.
Step 1 - Paste and Primer
A preparatory priming paste used to displace surface moisture, passivate surface oxides and fill small irregularities in surfaces that will be wrapped with PT Petrolatum Tape.
Step 2 - Mastic
Step 3 - Petrolatum Tape
A non-woven stitch bonded synthetic fabric, fully impregnated and coated with Petrolatum based compounds and fillers. Petrolatum Tape is chemically resistant and does not polymerize or oxidize.

- Operating/Application temperature : -40C to + 75C.
- Non skilled labour can apply system.
- No requirement for specialized equipment.
- No curing times.
- Product remains inert.
- Protection based upon encapsulation rather than adherence to a steel substrate.
- Can be applied to “sweating pipes”.
- Application under water (Marine Grade)
- Can be overcoated with either a PVC outerwrap or painted with Acrylic for aesthetics
