BACKWATER VALVES

Galaxy Plastics Ltd’s manufactures two types of Backwater Valve, in-line and terminal. Inline Backwater Valves are available in sizes 4”-24” (100mm-600mm), Terminal Backwater Valves are available in sizes 4”-48” (100mm-1200mm). All Galaxy Plastics Backwater valve are manufactured with gasketed, solvent weld or spigot end, for SDR 35 sewer pipe, Ultra Rib / Korflo profile pipe or DWV / Series IPS pipe.

Backwater Valves are designed to eliminating backflow, removing the chance of fluids and waste from re-entering drainage systems. Flow through the valve is controlled by a flapper, which opens easily and fully by system outflow. The flapper is forced closed when system backflow occurs. Flappers are manufactured with water tight neoprene gaskets.

Galaxy Plastics 4” and 6” Inline Backwater Valves are manufactured with a threaded cap access lid, 8”-24” are made with blind flange access lid. The lids are directly vertical to the flapper to provide easily access for maintenance. Galaxy Plastics recommends regular periodic maintenance, to ensure proper working and to increaser life span.
